Our Concert Bands
Below are the different level of concert bands in order of difficulty. One will sure meet your needs.
Concert Band – Green
Green band is for those who have not played in a band before or those who want to learn to play a new instrument or played a long time ago. No musical experience is needed to join the Green Band.
When: Mondays 9:00am – 11:30AM Rehearsal Venue: Living Hope
Concert Band – Jubilee
Jubilee band is band made up of graduates of Green Band and those with limited playing experience in the past. After a year or more, some may choose to move into the Allegro Band.
When: Wednesdays 9:30am – 12:00PM Rehearsal Venue: Living Hope
Concert Band – Allegro
Allegro Band is a band that plays at the lower end of the Intermediate Level. Music played is more challenging than that of Jubilee, particularly in the areas like rhythm and technique.
When: Wednesdays 9:30am – 12:00PM Rehearsal Venue: Living Hope
Concert Band – Skylark
An Intermediate Level Band. This band requires more comprehensive technical, rhythmic and reading skills, and stresses musicality.
When: Wednesdays 1:00pm – 3:30pm Rehearsal Venue: Living Hope
Concert Band – Odyssey
Our highest technical level band. This band strives to work on all aspects of performance including tone production, technical skills, intonation, music reading skills, and listening skills.
When: Wednesdays 1:00pm – 3:30pm Rehearsal Venue: Living Hope
Concert Band – Summer
This is a fun band for all levels so they can keep playing and stay in touch with their PNHB friends over the summer. All are welcomed to join. You don’t have to be in any of the concert bands. The fee in 2025 was $75 for 10 weeks. To register Contact comm@pnhb.ca
