Season Schedule, Timing and Fees

The Concert bands rehearse at 1 Consumers Pl Peterborough (Living Hope Church) on the days indicated on the schedule.
Sectionals
Based on the schedule, we offer coaching based on sections. If you cannot attend a sectional please let your Coach know ASAP, so we don’t pay for a coach when no one is there.
Instruments
We have acquired concert band instruments through grants, donations, and purchases. In accordance with the Property and Rental Policy, these instruments are available for rent or loan.

To guide the key roles and members we have documents that outline our By Laws, Policies, Guideline and Procedures, Terms of Reference and Position Descriptions. These documents and the Board meeting Minutes are at this link below.
To request various things requires forms to be submitted. Check out if there is a form for what you want to do.
Section Leaders
Each instrument section is asked to designate someone to be the leader and do the following:
- Relay details of what needs to be practiced from the conductor to the coaches.
- Collect music for those in their section who are absent and a copy for your coach.
- Verify that 1st and 2nd parts etc. are equally distributed amongst all members in their section.
- Section members are to let you know if they are not attending, so if the Conductors asks, you will know.
Attendance & Participation
As a consideration to your section and Conductors, please contact your section leader or a neighboring player if you will be missing a rehearsal.
If you are resigning or will be away for more than 3 weeks, email ADMIN@PNHB.CA to let us know.
Let your Conductors and section know if you will not be playing at the upcoming concert.
Concert and Summer Bands
As a PNHB member you can play in up to 3 concerts bands on different instruments for the single membership fee during the regular season September to May. Your membership fee also allows you access to join ensembles.
Ensembles
Members of PNHB create ensembles for specific instruments or genre of music. Each ensemble sets their own fees based on expenses.
Conductors, Coaches, Band Assistant and Office Administrator
Your membership dues help to pay for these folks services.
Changing bands or instrument
We try to keep each band balanced so we get the best sound. For current members who want to change bands or instruments, email roster@pnhb.ca so he can confirm the other band has room for you. If its okay let the Conductor of the band you are leaving know you are moving to another band or instrument.
Band Shirts
The concert bands wear black shirts during performances. It is not mandatory to purchase a band shirt but If you missed when we took orders (at your own expense), you can check out Shaun Milne Signs (Ennismore) website – https://shaunmilnesigns.ca for clothing to purchase. They have our logo on file to apply to the garment. If you have any questions email property@pnhb.ca
