Discover Our Ensembles
As a member of PNHB, you can join, for an additional fee, any of our many ensembles. Each ensemble sets their own fees which is usually based on the number of players, cost of conductor / venue / music. Some ensembles perform for the public. Some will take new members by invitation only. But no audition is required. The ensembles meet and perform during the regular PNHB season except for Flutissimo which meet year round over zoom or in person. Explore each ensemble’s unique genre. Any member of PNHB can organize an ensemble following these guidelines. The ensemble band representatives are listed here. Below describes the current ensembles.
Music Works
Open to all PNHB members. Music Works play a range of music from Broadway tunes to movie themes to classic rock ‘n roll – even a swing tune or a bit of classical has crossed their stands. Most of their music is at the Jubilee and Allegro levels.

Fundamentals
Open to all PNHB members. The music is at the Allegro and Skylark level. They have performed for the public.

The Flute Gang
Open to all PNHB flute players. The Flute Gang are PNHB members who range in experience from Green band all the way through to Odyssey.

Dynamics
Dynamics play a variety of music and includes everything from dance, show tunes, pop, swing, sing-along, and seasonal favorites. Most of their performances are at retirement homes and long-term care facilities. We have also played at public schools, shopping malls, fund raisers and PNHB socials.

Swing Set
Members who would like to join are to contact Justin Hiscox. Swing Set is a small group that plays big band era, latin and fusion music. They perform for senior homes and have performed at the Zoo.

We are currently in need of trombone, baritone and baritone saxophone players.
Flutissimo
Open to all PNHB flute players. Flutissimo is a mixed level Flute focused small ensemble. Flutissimo meets year-round with breaks between the terms. The summer session is the suggested entry point for Green Band Flute Players who have just recently completed their first year. The group meets ONLINE.
